Plant of the week: White dusky cranesbill
It shines in sun or shade and is a great ground cover plant and weed suppressor
This is what I use to keep track of the seeds I sowed and when (or whether) they sprouted. It’s helpful to keep track of this info in order to remind yourself how long seedlings have been in their tiny cells (if too long, then plants can become stunted) or, if nothing comes up, when it’s time to resow.
Interested to know what all I’ve got going on? OK, here we go:

Broadbeans in.
This was mere moments before it tipped it down - look at that grey sky…
I will make a frame full of these cute little succulents and put it on the wall:)

The farm today. Missing from the photo is greenhouse #3 which is in the corner.
the newest addition to my garden is a 4 x 10 foot raised bed made out of cedar. my awesome husband agreed to build it for me & tear up all the sod which is a total pain. I can’t wait to fill this up with dirt & then fill it with plants. this bed is going to be for my 11 varieties of tomatoes among other things. pretty exciting!

Lou Roll Seed Starters | Savings Lifestyle
The seed starter pockets are a great use for the ever growing pile of TP rolls. I have seeds and some dirt I should get to starting them. The trick is inside the space or them inside. The sunflowers are going to be gorgeous!
No need to buy peat pots when you can make your own biodegradable pots out of something you already have in your home — toilet paper rolls. Cut the rolls in half and fold in the bottom of the roll as shown above. Add soil and seeds and you have your very own peat pot.
Progress at Sunday 15th April
I’ve got my frost protection in place for all my lovely seedlings. I have planted up 6 out of my 9 beds and have my broad beans hardening off in my makeshift coldframe.
I really need to sort out the path in front of my allotment, going to give it the vinegar treatment and see how well that works.
