Not the cacti!

OH NO! Any tips on how to salvage this, Cactguy?

La Quinta Schmoll also features comprehensive gardens surrounding the greenhouses. Here are just a few exemplars.

These are all photos I have to share; who else is ready to visit now?

MEEE!

143 cacti and succulents in 69 pots are now in my garage … in addition to the 39 cacti and succulents in my windowsills in 27 pots … in addition to 1 mother and 10 pups that I forgot in the front … in addition to 9 in the front garden … 2 upstairs in the balcony … in addition to 60 in the backyard … in addition to 21 prospects rooting in the coffin (really back garden) … and now I have an accurate census for when people say:
Well, how many cacti and succulents doooo you have?
I can promptly reply, 285.
Strike that. I forgot about the magnet and the keychain. 287

I really don’t mind hand-watering 80 pots and 40ish “in the ground” cacti/succulents. In fact, I can’t think of a better Saturday morning.

Pink and pink, and a little blue… by maya_dragonfly on Flickr.

I finally have assembled a timeline of the first Trichocereus lobivia blooms on my recent purchase from www.cactuslimon.com - all in just 4 days (and blooming within 6 days of potting it).  I have to say, this was an exciting week to watch the progress of the blooms, and there is a small bloom in the works.  I can’t wait to see what this does over the summer!

HOLY CRAP.

cactguy:

This is my new trichocereus and lobivia hybrid (which was developed over the last ten years). It is about 15 inches tall and 6 inches in diameter with 3 offsets around the base, but the greatest feature are the blooms. It shipped with three, and two survived the trip. When open they look similar to daisies and the cacti are sometimes called flying saucer cacti due to the shape of the blooms. The blossom color is a mixture of pink and yellow - be on the lookout for when they open!
