TEvis estimated that we got about 5000 pounds of winter squash. Our onions didn’t do well, so we’re trading 250 pounds of squash for 250 pounds of onions. Nice.
We grew a lot of varieties this season. Pie pumpkin, Delicata, Butternut, Ponca, Harry’s Green/Red, Carnival, Acron…Jack-o-lanterns…
Finding space for all of it has been a struggle. The squash was a lot more productive than planned, and so were the dry beans. It’s going to legit frost tomorrow night, so we’re scrambling to get everything inside. Good-bye basil. Good-bye tomatillos. Good-bye husk cherries. Oh man, I just got the best idea for a children’s book.
