Pulled up the last of the tatties. Not a bad harvest, I’m actually more excited by how the soil was looking - full of life! We planted the spuds under deep layers of straw and cut rushes and the bed was self watered by a swale which collects nutrient rich run off water from the duck pen. All this has really hepled bring the soil to life - of course, all I can see with my naked eye are the earth worms and mycelium, but I would hazzard a guess that the microfauna population is booming! The soil smells shit hot too. :)
